The winds have moved me away from students and the daily activities that accompany teaching. Therefore, the pages that are the book of this blog, have been filled to their last.

2011-2012 School Year - The paperless classroom

It's still summer for at least a month, but I'm looking forward to working with this years' 7th graders to learn technology tools! My biggest goal for the class this year is an attempt to go paperless. This means that almost every product that we work on or produce in my class will be in an electronic only format. Wish us luck!

Spirit Week!

March 15-19 is Spirit Week at North Branch Middle School!

Monday March 15th - Come as you are day (pajama day)
Technology students will be completing their "All About Me" posters

Tuesday March 16th - Twin Day - Dress like you're a twin, or a Twin's fan
Technology students will begin working on the middle school scavenger hunt

Wednesday March 17th - Students dress like teachers today
Technology students will begin working on the middle school scavenger hunt presentation

Thursday March 18th - School Spirit Day
Continued work on the middle school scavenger hunt presentation

Friday March 19th - Crazy Hair Day
Continued work on the middle school scavenger hunt presentation

End of trimester 2

The 2nd trimester ends this Friday March 12th.

Monday - Students worked on their newsletters in class

Tuesday - Newsletters due for these classes at the end of the hour. Students completing the activities at home need a parent / guardian signature with your scores to be submitted in class Thursday.

Technology, organized! - February 8th-12th

Monday - Students learned about workplace design, as we tried to set up an ergonomically correct work station for the computers in the technology classroom.

Tuesday - TRF students gain first hand experience in the organization of a computer through the Manage your virtual self activity. Crossword activity due Thursday in class.

Wednesday MWF students gain first hand experience in the organization of a computer through the Manage your Virtual Self activity. Crossword activity for these classes is due next Wednesday the 17th.

Thursday - TRF students create a dashboard with the correct fingers to type each letter on the keyboard - they'll use the dashboard to help them in learning to keyboard correctly throughout the remainder of the semester.

Friday - No School for students.
